Dialogue and Chests - Devlog #3


Hello, traveler!


Today, I have some cool updates to show you!


As you can see in the video, I've made some good progress. Now, we actually have a working inventory and storage system.  


Inventory

I had many ideas about how the drop would work. My initial idea was the item lying on the floor, and the player could pick it up. In the end, I decided to group the items and make a trade interface.


Dialogue

The dialogue system is inspired by Disco Elysium. It's simple, it works, and I really like it. It makes possible to have a history of the full dialogue, which would be a pain in the ass to program it. It also includes options, which will influence your reputation and relationship with the npc.
